In answer to your question, yes, Vista 64 bit does support a b PCIe card. Manufacturer of the card is Unibrain.
The driver appears to be in working order when viewing in device manager. If problems occur with the most recent IEEE update from Device Manager, the legacy driver may be your only option.

Avere is the error message you get on the Blue Screen? I am just disappointed since I believed I had done the research up front making sure everything was compatible and supported.
With the Blue screen: Hi, I did not get it to work. Windows Update does not find a more recent driver problems continue. Use the FireWire port to see if the problem continues.
