In answer to your question, yes, Vista 64 bit does support a b PCIe card. Manufacturer of the card is Unibrain.

The driver appears to be in working order when viewing in device manager. If problems occur with the most recent IEEE update from Device Manager, the legacy driver may be your only option.

According to Microsoft they support it, but it did not work on my system. In qgere to rickyricco’s post on July 31, I recently installed a FireWire card on my Vista bit system as well. This page requires Javascript. The problem now is that the Microsoft driver will not install correctly. How does HP install software and gather data?

Avere is the error message you get on the Blue Screen? I am just disappointed since I believed I had done the research up front making sure everything was compatible and supported.

With the Blue screen: Hi, I did not get it to work. Windows Update does not find a more recent driver problems continue. Use the FireWire port to see if the problem continues.

Are you sure that you downloaded the 64 bit version of the drivers?
